Who we are
Next Gen Beatbox (NGB, we, us) operates this website, its public forms and the Season 01 interest list. Privacy questions, access requests or complaints can be sent to admin@nextgenbeatbox.com.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect your email address, name, contact details, interest preferences, application or survey answers, uploaded material, signatures you intentionally provide, and basic submission information. We also process limited technical data, such as browser details and a protected representation of an IP address, to prevent spam, duplicate submissions and abuse.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to provide requested Season 01 updates, receive wildcard, partner or community interest, process forms and applications, administer the event and platform, respond to enquiries, keep records, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information.
How it is collected and stored
Information is collected when you submit it through this website or communicate with NGB. While a public form remains open, non-file answers may be held temporarily in that browser tab so a refresh does not immediately lose your progress; the form's separate name, email, contact, upload and signature fields are not included in that draft. The platform uses specialist providers for secure hosting, database storage, email delivery, community operations and network protection, including Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Discord and Cloudflare. Opening an externally hosted performance player may send basic connection data to YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud under that provider's privacy terms. Those providers may process data outside Australia in locations where they operate, subject to their contractual and security controls.
Sharing and disclosure
Access is limited to authorised NGB owners and administrators who need it for the purposes above. We may disclose information to service providers acting for us, where you ask us to, where required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect people, NGB or the platform. Private staff alerts may include an entrant's intended stage name and origin, but exclude contact details, application answers and private media. Public form responses are not made public unless a form clearly says otherwise.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the relevant event, form, legal, safety or administrative purpose. We use access controls, private response records and technical safeguards designed to protect it. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. You can also unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. We may retain limited records where law, safety, dispute or suppression-list requirements make that necessary.
Questions or complaints
Contact us first and describe the issue. We will review it and respond within a reasonable period. Information about Australian privacy rights and complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this notice when the platform, event or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
